Longer Jeans? Perfect Fit Just a Cuff Away

First, we wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful positive feedback. We have been developing Jean Straps for a year now, and are thrilled to be able to share our practical solution for tucking jeans into boots with the world.

Second, we wanted to be sure Jean Straps users are aware that, with just a little bit of maneuvering, you can get a snug fit on longer pairs of  jeans as well:

  1. Pick a place on your jeans above the hemline. If your jeans are too long to get a snug fit, cuff them 1″ at a time until you have the desired length.
  2. Open the garter clip and place the garter tab (the white, rubber piece) inside your jean and the metal frame on the outside. Be sure to pick an area above the hem or cuff, so the metal frame makes contact with only one layer of denim.
  3. Align the garter tab with the center of the frame.
  4. While holding the garter tab, pull the metal frame in the opposite direction and guide it into the smaller part of the metal frame. Depending on the thickness of your denim this might take a little more or less pressure.
  5. Repeat on other side.

San Francisco, CA – Like many practical fashionistas, Tni Newhoff and Erin Tocalino struggled with a common problem: getting their boots and jeans to play well together. They had both invested in expensive pairs of boots and premium denim, but when it came to wearing those boots over the denim, it was a less than elegant process. Pulling the boots on presented a major challenge, with way too much tugging, yanking and tucking pant legs into socks. Even when they got the boots on, the jeans rode up throughout the day, leaving them with baggy knees.
